Coastwise Health is located at 1366 W 7th Street in San Pedro, California — a quiet, professional space in the heart of one of the South Bay's most established neighborhoods. Our facility was designed with intention: warm, welcoming, and private — nothing like a hospital, and everything like a place where real healing can happen.

Two Centers, One Roof

Our building houses both Coastwise Recovery Center and Coastwise Counseling Center under a single roof. This co-located model means that clients in substance abuse treatment can seamlessly access therapy services, and therapy clients who need additional support have a full continuum of care steps away.

The Recovery Center provides structured outpatient substance abuse treatment — including Partial Hospitalization (PHP), Intensive Outpatient (IOP), and aftercare programming. The Counseling Center offers individual, couples, family, and teen therapy with specialized modalities including EMDR and ketamine-assisted psychotherapy.

Designed for Healing

The facility was intentionally designed to create the ideal environment for healing. The environment emphasizes safety, love, kindness, intelligence, and respect to facilitate vulnerability and growth.

The goal is for every visitor to feel peace and think, "This feels good, I'm glad to be here."

Rooted in San Pedro

San Pedro is more than our address — it's our home. This is a working-class, multigenerational community with deep roots in the Port of Los Angeles, the fishing industry, and a proud tradition of neighbors looking out for one another. It's a place where people know each other by name, where families have lived for generations, and where trust is earned over time.

Coastwise Health was born from that same fabric. The Coastwise family has been part of San Pedro's healthcare community for over 50 years — first through Steve's father's medical practice, and now through the behavioral health services Steve and Daniela provide. We didn't choose San Pedro as a business location. We chose to serve the community we grew up in.

Our facility sits in the heart of the neighborhood — close to the waterfront, accessible from the 110 freeway, and just minutes from the ports, Point Fermin, and downtown San Pedro. Whether you're a local or coming from elsewhere in the South Bay, you'll find us in a place that feels like it belongs here — because it does.
