Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP) typically involve 9 to 12 hours of structured treatment per week, allowing clients to maintain work and family responsibilities. Partial Hospitalization Programs (PHP) provide a higher level of care with approximately 20 to 30 hours per week of programming, offering more intensive support for individuals who need it while still allowing them to return home each evening.
A typical day in our outpatient programs includes a combination of group therapy, individual counseling, psychoeducation, and skill-building activities. IOP clients usually attend sessions in the morning or evening for 3 to 4 hours. PHP clients participate in a more structured day program that may include multiple therapy sessions, wellness activities, and lunch.
Program length varies based on individual needs. IOP programs typically last 8 to 12 weeks, while PHP programs may last 2 to 6 weeks before clients step down to IOP. Your treatment team will work with you to determine the right duration based on your progress and recovery goals.
